Over 30 years, Richard has developed a substantial practice in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. He regularly acts for high net worth individuals and corporate clients, in the UK and overseas, on a wide range of complex disputes. These include contractual disputes, tortious interference, shareholder and partnership disputes, IP infringement, corporate and personal insolvency matters, regulatory and compliance matters, film scheme litigation and board level employment matters. Richard’s work with his overseas clients has resulted in him developing a specialism in overseas structures and asset management.


His team’s most notable successes came in the ground breaking cases of Feetum & Ors (2006) 2BLCL 102 and Kahn v Dunlop Haywards (DHL) Ltd (2007) All ER (D) 244 QBD.


Richard was called to the Bar in 1983 and has been a member of Middle Temple for over 35 years.


Richard holds a Presidential Warrant entitling him to practice in Malta and he works closely with a leading firm of commercial and funds lawyers on the island.
